I find it no coincidence that Christ fulfilled each of the first 4 spring feasts at His First Coming.

Firstfruits

Passover

Unleavened Bread

Pentecost

The next major event on the biblical calendar is the “catching away” of the church, a.k.a. the Rapture. And the next feast in the pattern is the first fall feast, Rosh Hashanah.

Considering all of the current happenings in the world, 2026 seems like a year pregnant with hope of the Savior’s return. So, we’ve waited.

But I must ask: the first 4 feasts occurred while the Second Temple stood. But since 90 AD, there has been no temple. So, since the feasts were all centered around the temple, everything since then has, by necessity, been de-centralized. So, would it be accurate to look to Jerusalem for the shofar blast, or should we look around the world, specifically for the latest time when Rosh Hashanah could be celebrated, namely the American Samoa and other locales in that time zone? If Rosh Hashanah is de-centralized, could “the last trumpet” not be a synecdoche to refer to the the end of the last day of the feast in the very final place on earth where the feast day ends?
